Today, my college career came to an end when I handed in my last final exam. I didn't expect to feel this way, but I am completely overtaken by happiness. And lucky for me, it just happens to be the most beautiful day, so bright and warm, the first day like this all year.
Graduating college always seemed like a normal thing in life and I never thought that it would be all that special since it was expected. But I have to admit, it's brought such a sense of relief and accomplishment to have finally made it to the end. I am so grateful when I look back at the road that has lead me to today and am even more excited for what is to come.
Today was filled with pure joy and that's not something I have been able to say often lately or rather at all. I even got myself a surprise and I definitely am beginning to appreciate the little things in life. I've been looking forward to slowing it down and enjoying every simple moment. Thank you for making me smile. Thank you for today.

A Plan for Post-Grad
For the past 10 months or so, everyone in my life has me focusing on the month that is to come. On May 1, I will become a graduate of Northeastern University. I do not have a job lined up and to be honest, I've been too busy and have had very little desire to look for one. The economy has everyone worried but I still can't help but feel lucky. I feel lucky because my experiences have given me the openness to seek out the endless opportunities that are out there. Everyday, I wish for something different.
Who knows how things will turn out for me but here are a few things that I do know. I will be moving back home to New Jersey for the time being so I can look for a job. I want to move somewhere warm and laid-back. I'm really looking forward to having a simpler life after graduation and being able to do things for myself. A lot of people suggest San Francisco but I'm thinking that Los Angeles might be a good option for me since FIDM is there and depending on how long it takes for me to find a job I will apply there. There are a lot of opportunites in fashion there as well and I know I want to work in a creative industry, pursuing something like brand management.
Everyone is always surprised when I say that I want to move to the West Coast and I understand because well, it's far. I know that one day, life will lead me back to the East Coast so I figured might as well live somewhere different. I could use some change in my life. It's not like I've never lived somewhere new or abroad. I think I can handle it.
And I will.
